I have a happy story.
Yesterday on my way home from work, I stopped at my favorite party store to buy some scratch off lottery tickets to include with the Grandkids Christmas present. I have to buy for 4 and I wanted to get a variety so I am looking to see how many different kinds of $1 tickets they have. As I am doing this another lady walks up to the lottery counter and puts her liter bottle of coke down and stands there waiting. (At this store, she can not make a grocery purchase at the lottery counter so I figured she knew what she was doing.) The owner of the store called one of the people over to man the lottery counter. When the young lady arrived, the lady with the Coke looked at me knowing I was waiting before she was. I nodded for her to go ahead.
She hands the clerk about 20 daily tickets and the clerk runs each of them through and disperses the winnings (lucky lady won $180.00) this took about 3-4 minutes.
My turn. I purchase my lottery tickets then head to the front counter to buy some libations. She is just finishing her purchase of a liter of coke and she turns to me and hands me a scratch off lottery ticket and says thanks for letting me go first. I waived her off and said it was no problem. She insisted I take the ticket.
This morning drinking my tea before heading out the door, I scratch off the ticket to learn I won $25.00.
