In the spirit of the season, it's true until proven otherwise.

He said it happened a month ago and hospitals due to HIPAA laws, cannot divulge any patient details, i.e., their presence as a patient in their hospital. Therefore, hearing from the hospitals that it didn't happen on their grounds is not proof enough for me.

There are however death announcements, and such. Am I wrong that death records are public records, that at least a death (or more than one dammit) in the area in the correct age range should be verifiable?
