Watching good tv programming always cheers me up. I really enjoyed last night's PBS Mark Twain Prize Ceremony at the Kennedy Centre. This Year's winner was George Carlin. There were a lot of laughs and for me the most enjoyable part was listening to a clip of Carlin singing "Cherry Pie."
He could easily have been a doo wop singer back in the day. It prompted me to download the original version of the song by Skip & Flip this morning. (Must've played it about ten times.
BTW there was a fabulous show on the Canadian network CTV last week. It's titled, Music and the Brain. A fascinating show with neuro scientists examining how the brain reacts to music. One of the test subjects was Sting.
