That is a wonderful recap of the recent events in your family Mark. Bravo to dad, and I hope he continues on the fast track back to health. Wow! 85, and undergoing heart surgery. Actually, 85 doesn't seem that old anymore. Wonder why??
Good stuff, MM, excellent that he is getting better after the surgery. Pass on well wishes to him from Wee Marko, Sacha & family please.
And I hope you managed to get some decent, undisturbed, sleep.
"...when Hibernian won the Scottish Cup final and that celebration, Sunshine on Leith? I don’t think there’s a better football celebration ever in the game.”
Great news. Glad everything went well and continues to be so.
BTW, you could have come to my house and slept and saved yourself some time and driving.
Thanks DanO, and if traveling was a problem I know you, as well as my brother, was much closer than my house but, my family and puppy needed to be updated, see my face, and understand things are OK despite the change in our schedules. (Wow, my English teacher would really get upset on the amount of prepositional phrases in that sentence).

Well, getting there but still a few days before he goes home. Just got home myself a bit before midnight, and headed back to be there about 4:30 AM tomorrow.
........Update. While at work, he was transferred to the main hospital, took another good walk and most importantly, hit all of the desired goals for his respiratory therapy.
They did not however, remove the tubes for drainage as requested by the Doc in the morning as there is still too much fluid being drained.
Hopefully, tomorrow that will happen.
Off to bed.
Thanks to all for your best wishes and prayers.
He really is doing great.
.........and most importantly, my Sister brought my Mom up to see him this afternoon and the expressions on both of their faces and renewed commitment of love for each other was a priceless lesson of true love for life and each other.
.....OK, really, off to bed.
I long for a Lions team that is consistently competitive.

It's ok, Mark. I'll forgive you on his/her behalf.
Holy shit MM, what are you trying to do to me here. Sitting in the South Gyle Starbucks having the usual Machiatto, slow roast mozzarella panini & cinammon swirl cake......, and then I read about the looks on their faces when they saw each other again at the hospital. I genuinely had to sit back and compose myself.... The eyes seriously moistened up there. Your parents are awesome.

Sorry, wee Marko. I have definitely lost my man card on this chapter of learning about life. I have enough ammunition to write and direct a chick flick now.

I'll get Sally Struthers on the phone. Tired of her going through my garbage anyway.
Where are we going; and what's up with this hand basket?
