    • LB, that is so cool! Tell me more about this leadership team. And do you mean junior black belt? Or junior in high school? (I thought he was 12 or 13?)

Love love LOVE the impact that TKD has on these kiddos (and most martial arts I. general)

      • Not making my day quite yet, but there's a chance the Lions could be coming to Wembley next year. Atlanta Falcons are playing a game at Wembley, Lions are due to play them away. Given that Atlanta will not be playing a divisional rival in London, that leaves a 1 in 5 chance of us having our very own European forum game.

Junior in sense of not an adult. Not sure what the age cut is - I think 14 - but under that you go to the junior (kid) classes in TKD.

The leadership team includes all martial arts classes offered, plus additional leadership courses, and additional events. He can assist teaching courses for lower belts, he can optionally go to state and world championships. Bunch of other stuff - but he also gets a custom uniform and embroidered black belt (when he gets there).

Completely agree on the impact of TKD. I go to sporting practices all the time and I see some struggle to keep 10-12 kids on task. These TKD instructors routinely coach 20-30 kids with oiled machine efficiency.

          • Sweet! Our school is structured a bit differently - the classes are divided by belt level, not age (except for "little tigers" which are 6 and under). if you are at least 13 you can be a junior instructor (if you are selected by the Masters) - my son turns 13 on Friday and he has expressed interest, so we will see if he goes that route.

Good job little LB! You should be very proud. :-)

            • Congrats LB.

That is a very good thing!
I long for a Lions team that is consistently competitive.

Now this will be an event I will NOT be missing if it goes ahead. 5/1 bet, Dean? Not bad odds. Come on, Lions...., get to Wembley next year. Not too fussed about meeting any of those American losers at a Euro tailgate, but you, Essek & Septem would be cool!

I jest of course......, I'd love to meet Malto Marko and listen to him play his Jambalaya.

Well done with the TKD news LB. You should be very proud. :-)

Change that 5/1 to 4/1, one matchup is unknown at this point and they announce the London game prior to the end of the season apparently, so that leaves one out of the following Browns/Steelers/Lions/Bears.

The only knock on this is that there has only been one interconference game out of the 8 played in London so far. Steelers were here this year, so smart money probably on the Browns.

                          • Yeah......., but seriously......, who the F wants to see the shitty Browns? (No pun intended)

I suppose the same sentence could be applied to the Lions. (For non lions fans)

                            • I wouldn't bet Browns over the Lions, but probably the Bears. Has Chicago played in London yet?
