  • If you want a picture to record the moment, get a friend to pull out his phone or point-and-shoot and take the damn picture and be done. There is absolutely no need to make a production out of it or to disturb anyone for more than 30 seconds unless you are a fucking little narcissist who believes the events in your life are so important that you have the right to impose on everyone around you.

Or how about this - If you know you are going to obstruct the view of some folks for several minutes to take professional pictures - how about you go prepared with a some gift cards to hand out to people that you are imposing on. Or some other similar gesture that says - "I acknowledge that you spent $100 for a seat to watch the game and I appreciate you indulging me while I capture a special moment in my life".

This pisses me off on so many levels. Not only is there the narcissist, manner less generation component, there's also the lack of respect for privacy component too. I wonder, did the photographer think to get the ladies permission before posting her image all over the fucking internet? I doubt the thought even occurred to these dipshits.

    • Absolutely this lady sucks. Totally inconsiderate and unneccesarily rude.

That said they were just as inconsiderate. She paid good money to watch the baseball game. Why should she have to put up with some stranger's engagement photos.

        • I blame the photographer, not the couple wanting to record it.

The Photographer should have found a way to do their job without infringing on others.

Too bad the priest wasn't there that was in the video that was going around on the news shows earlier this week. He would have put that photographer in his/her place.

          Speaking of photographers.

My son got married last December. She started taking pictures of the bride getting ready as well as the groom. Then she grouped them both in front of the B&B we all were staying at with the Bride and Groom in front and the family on a second floor porch overlooking them both.

Before she started, I asked if she wanted the flowers for the pics. She said no. I asked if she was sure, she repeated no, not necessary.

I brought the flowers out anyway and started distributing them to the people that should be getting them.

When she sent the Bride and Groom their proofs, she mentioned in her e-mail that several of the shots would have been great for her to use as a promotional shot if only they had their flowers.

She even mentioned the pics taken that flowers were present looked more "finished" than the ones that didn't.

          Ya think? Dimwit!

              Well thought of post.

Many couples want to capture those special moments, and that is what photographers get paid to do.

The guy could have limited the problems and informed those around him what was going to happen when his girlfriend slipped out. Just to give the people around him an idea that there was going to be an interruption. The photographer should have said something to them too. Many times that is all it takes for someone to be ok with whatever is happening. That way he would have known if there was going to be a problem ahead of time.

If the old lady would have told him that she didnt want anything to do with it, maybe the guy could have done this in the isle, or at the top of the stairs. Someplace where the photographer had more room to move around, instead of having to stand in everyone's way.

The gift card is a good idea too, it doesnt have to be for much. Maybe even buy a round of beers or food for those that were going to be bothered by your stunt. The littlest of things could have made this so much better, but the guy didnt have the foreknowledge to do so. The photographer should have given him that idea.

This is still no reason for some old crabby broad to ruin someone else's special moment. She could have scowled, or just looked away. Maybe even flip the photographer off in a few of the images, not 20. I think some people just go out of their way to ruin someone else's moments.

Everyone here is at fault. No one in innocent.

........and put that special moment on camera and you can sell it to "Good Guys going Crazy IV".

.......gotta also make sure the hot dog vendor is not in the area because the first response might be to bowl him over and throw free hot dogs to the crowd.

                          • People usually do these proposal things between innings. If that's the case here, then that lady was being a bitch for no reason. However, if this was during game action, I can see where it would be annoying, though the death stares and the bird are a little ridiculous.

                            • 4K.

So far so good. I'm typing this without glasses 1 day after treatment. I already know that I'll need readers. The biggest issue I had was an astigmatism. It was messing with my golf game.

Looking forward playing golf without glasses and wearing regular sunglasses when desired.

The new pulse laser method of cutting the flap is supposed to eliminate some of the halo at night versus the keratome blades.

I asked my regular eye doctor about long term effects .... he has the most to lose since I wouldn't be purchasing glasses from him anymore and he said there has been no link to LASIK and increased risk of cataracts glaucoma etc.

Went to two free evaluations and both said I was a really good candidate for LASIK the much less intrusive option ... versus PRK. This procedure has been around a lot longer around the world then here in the States. Long term risks seem minimal.

By the way contacts were not an option as I tried them unsuccessfully, due to the astigmatism.

The worst that could happen is eventually I'll need glasses again.

                              • Congrats, Mass. Isn't it nice to wake up and be able to see?

I had PRK done at an Air Force base about 10 years ago. Even though it took me a long time to heal, it was one of the best things I have ever done. Of course, I am crippled without my readers but I have Costa Sunglasses with readers cut into them. It's the best of both worlds.
