      Have fun.

      Hope to go there some day, it's really one of the places I would love to visit in the US...

            As I said before DanO, (I think in the 2011 forum game thread) would really like to see a live Lions game in Ford Field, and I do have family near, in Toronto. So if some day I find the time (money) to go to US for sure my first trip will be a joint one, Canada/US...so indeed will need a place to stay near Detroit...Ann Harbor is pretty close….at least in Google maps…so maybe it is…:-)

            Do you know about the couch surfing travelling way? I have 2 and also a spare bed...so if some day you decide to visit Portugal…you are welcome to stay in my house.

            This invitation is extendable to any Detroit Lions forum members.

            @bimmer: Thanks.

              • Septem......, before inviting people into your house, ......., always remember that Detroit is the 4th murderous city in the USA. What makes this even more frightening? I did not research it......., THEY fucking told me!

                    Hmmmmmmm.

                    4th must have been mentioned with Pride.

                    We used to be first.

                    I am guessing there is something to be said for survivors.
                    I long for a Lions team that is consistently competitive.

                      True.

                      I think Flint is most murderous in MI DanO....., you are 14.6 miles closer to it than your Detroit counterparts. So......, Septem, youll be 48.1 miles away from murdering bstds!

                      Don't know what the fuck I'm going on about though....., I'm only 44 miles away from Glasgow.

                      • Actually, I live north of Ann Arbor about 12 miles(Hamburg) so I'm even closer to Flint than that..............but farther from Detroit. :-)

                          Flint is the city in Michigan you're most likely to have a violent crime comitted against you, ie mugging, breaking/entering, assault, rape, murder, et ... when it comes to just good ol'-fashioned murders per capita, no one beats the "D" ... and if someplace happens to take over that number one spot, it's usually because Detroit underreports it's homicides and/or doesn't include justifiable homicides in it's statistics ...oh yeah, it's a dubious distinction, but a distinction none-the-less, :-D.

                            • I spent a day in Flint back in May. I had never been there and I had heard about the crime stats so I was none too happy to go. Turned out ok...people were actually pretty decent to me and it was an OK day. That's been my experience with Detroit too. My main problem with these places is that I haven't been able to find a good place for grub. I guess if I wanted to find trouble I could do that but I'd rate both cities higher than Port Huron based on my experience anyways.

                                Yeah, but find a good corned beef sandwich shop in Port Huron, eh? I hear ya' though, I don't get to Flint much anymore, but I'm downtown (Detroit) quite a bit and I've never feared for my life ... it's just headlines. If you're up for trying to find a place to watch a Saints game or two, let me know, .
