I only saw them on the Today show. They didn't mention life preservers at all. They said they both floated on their backs, mostly.

What amazed me was his son. Austistic and non-verbal. He got separated from his Dad during the ordeal (they found them a mile away from eachother) and still managed to be found alive.

sorry deb, doctor is sending me to traverse for a mri on friday, so all my plans are shot for that day. maybe later in the month, I;ll let you know how the schedule goes... rx... no firefighting minimum two months.... semi retirement.. good way to back off if I can't do the work..

My kids really make my days, they each donated(out of their pockets/accounts) to the juvenile diabetes foundation, my daughter donated $20.00 when i asked her if she was sure she wanted to donate that much(to an 11 yr old that's alot) and she responded with "helping Daniel is better then buying a video game". ( She has been saving for a Wii.)
