          • Marko, there is a Rainforest Cafe in London. I know that's not just around the block from you, but you ought to check it out sometime.

            • I have yet another story about this. My oldest son lives in London and he has been to the rainforest cafe. But way back in 1995, (he was 10) we were at a place called The Countryside Inn, about 20 miles south of Edinburgh. We were having dinner and when my plate arrived there was a MASSIVE mushroom on the plate. All my kids said, "oh dad, that's disgusting!"......., I said to Mark, "I'll give you ten pounds if you eat that!"......., in less than a split second, he lifted it from plate and scoffed the lot down. He was looking at me intensely as he munched away. I was stunned. He finished and held out his hand for the cash. I just had to pay....., if anything, out of respect for taking on that mushroom. He still maintains that was the day he began experimenting with all types of food instead of my ex wife's monotonous shite that she used to put down to us.

              • Might I add before I get my nuts chewed......, I worked long hours and wasn't home to make dinner......, I made dinner at weekends......, before I get any bullshit about being a sexist. My Ex did try all that "you're a feckin sexist" crap on me once but I just asked her politely to go back into the kitchen.

                  Really? Now that is interesting.

I am curious to know who would sponsor a ride and to what extent? (Building or running and maintaining?)

It might have worked if you would have asked her to please take off your shoes then..........

I don't know the specifics but I know HP sponsors the Mission Space ride in Epcot. I'm not sure how much money the sponsorship devotes to the ride but I believe its a key part of it.

                        ....., or ask?

Ye see, there's a fine line between eating that sammich, or wearing it.

I may be wrong, (and usually am) but, this sounds like HP got paid for developing the computer hardware to support the ride with an agreement to update/maintain the ride as long as it is in service.

                          • No I know they pay for it, and most of these rides are sponsored. Again I don't know the speicifics. GM paid to sponsor the test track is another example.

My wife does all the cooking (AS SHE SHOULD!! totally kidding!) We were newlyweds and I took my turn in the kitchen. In the matter of 7 days I burnt the shit out of 6 meals and undercooked one so bad it wasn't edible. After that I have never been invited back into what she calls "Her Kitchen."

I really didnt plan for it to turn out that way, but I can hardly argue with the results.
