I think that's the one drew. The exhaust ports (or what ever the fuck they are called) were square. That was one impressive SOB. I made the same comment that STEE made. On the first pass the fucker was past us before we heard it. It was so loud it rattled my fillings...
CG, I am guessing either there was more than one boat at the event or your latest tour has you walking on water.
How come the only way to get that "Smiles" option is if you include a quote in your post? Or am I doing something wrong-as usual.
When you use the "go advanced" button, the smiles will be on the right of the message box and you can click on the one(s) you want to use. Click the "more" button to see the whole list.

every year the blue angels come to Seattle to do a show. Every year they also "buzz" the city. Hearing the roar of those engines between the buildings is terrifying I couldn't imagine if they were trying to kill me too.
I also had a f-22 take off from mcchord AFB and was only a few hundred feet over my head. It was pretty neat.

A 33-year-old man who authorities say wore a "World's Greatest Dad" T-shirt to have sex with someone he believed was a 14-year-old girl has been sentenced to three to 20 years in prison.
Oakland County Circuit Judge Michael Warren issued the sentence Thursday for Daniel A. Everett of Clarkston.
Everett pleaded guilty Aug. 7 to child sexual abuse and using the Internet to attempt child sexual abuse.
Everett has been sued for divorce by his wife, Michelle. Her lawyer is Robert F. White, who says the defendant's stepdaughter gave him the "World's Greatest Dad" shirt. The couple don't have biological children.

Oughta hear an SR-71 take off...Too bad they took them out of service.
Kelly Johnson from Lockheed Skunkworks sure hit a home run on that one!

Inspected an SR-71 in the museum where they dock the USS Alabama. It is something to see. Was told they had to change the tires every flight and it could not take off with a full fuel load or it would blow the tires. It was filled by tanker plane at altitude.
LionsWhoppeeCushionI'm surrounded with a strange sound after beer, burritos and watching another Lions game.

Yep...another reason why it had to be refueled so soon after take off?
1. The engines sucked up so much fuel, the SR - 71 would use nearly half it's fuel load just to take off.
2. The skin if the SR-71 leaked like a sieve until it got up to speed and altitude where it would expand and seal itself. But once it got down on the ground, it would leak again.
I visitied the Seattle Air Museum where they have an earlier versions of the SR-71 called the A-12. I think this was the version being considred for air - to air combat...only problem is that it flew faster than it's ammunition and there was a potential to get hit with it's own ammo.
Didn't think of that. Catching your own bullets could hurt!
Actually, it would have been the air-to-air missles...Not sure if that is appcliable to today's missels but in the early 60's, the SR-71 could out fly missles.
