I did this painting of my impalas tail lights from the light coming through the garage door... thought you might appreciate it.

That is great, I love the old cars. It is something I keep an eye on, if Im driving around and someone has their garage door open, I always take a peek and see what might be hidden in there.

I love old cars, im guessing that is a 1965? The taillights are above the bumper (later models inside the bumper) and 2 out of three are in the trunk area ..very cool.

      • Yep nailed it, 65.. only year you could get those taillights with the sloped roof line (mustang fastback and the chevy impala were among the first to have that roof line for the american cars of the era).

        • Way to go Islair!

Nice painting, Brook. That model takes me back to my youth and the beginning of my passion for auto style.
I long for a Lions team that is consistently competitive.

              • Brook's painting reminds me of our old artist friend Karl Childers. Very good indeed.

                • Oh thanks. Appreciate that a lot. I don't display my work very often.

                    • Very nice work Brook.

You're right Romster....KC is a very talented artist. Islar is too.

I really wish I had that kind of artistic talent.

Not that you are purposely suggesting it isn't but making a good photograph is in many ways more difficult than making a good painting. With a painting you can always embellish and change reality to add drama or contrast but with a photograph you have less liberty to do so.. you have to go out and capture the natural scene and moment
