Took the wife and kid fishing today at Fallen Leaf Lake near South Lake Tahoe today and didn't get one bite on 3 lines in the drink.

But you know what, I was with my girls on a beautifully perfect day with snow capped mountains all around us and life was again showing me (us) some serious love.

I'm sitting here feeling all warm and fuzzy from a bunch of Newcastles after q'ing up some carne and pollo asada in a mad dinner throwdown checking in on the forum thinking of the dog days of summer that are in my way of some NFL football.

Seems like there just weren't any fish near the only area we could access from the shoreline. The only other people within a quarter mile of us said they had been there all day and didn't get any bites either.

We're going to a different lake today to try again.

You know what they say though:

Good Words..... I can't wait for football either. As a sports fan this time of year really drags. Golf is OK to watch but I don't dig Soccer..... I miss NFL Network, at least there I get a little taste!
