  • There are a ton of Facebook spam/scams out there, but it sounds like maybe that guy invited you to join or something?

I know you're a private person, Rom, but you should really check it out some time. I held off for a long time but finally decided I'd join and only add family. Then I found all of these old friends and it really has been fabulous.

    • If it's a real guy, he somehow used my email address when registering. But still was able to register without clicking a link from my email account. Weird.

      • Oh, maybe I misunderstood. I thought you got an email saying he was adding you as a friend or inviting you to Facebook.

        • I got an email but addressed to the Ukrainian dude asking me to confirm registration.

All the emails are addressed to Ukrainian dude.

Amazing you can remember people from that long ago at your age!

            • You know, I don't remember much about the late 70s/early 80s now that you mention it.

              • I'm hesitant to post about this because I don't wish to get a political response. Please, if you feel the need to respond politically, do so in the politics forum..

                On to my post:

This moving thing has really been falling in to place! I'm selling my house for actually more than I listed it at and was concerned that the appraisal might not cover it, but the appraisal came in fine. So that deal can proceed.

Then, "they" expanded the homebuyer's tax credit to include folks who owned a home for at least five years (that's me!). So I should be getting a $6,500 check I wasn't expecting! (Remember, politics in the politics forum.)

Then, I called my dept. chair at the college where I teach part time and told her I was moving and she said she wants me to continue teaching, regardless (online)! Yay! I was really worried about this as I so enjoy this teaching gig and the extra money also really would help as I take on a bigger house payment.

There's a SOLD sign out in front and I'm just waiting to hear on both closing dates now. Anyone wanna help me pack?
