just placed ten pounds of fresh whitefish in the smoker.. brined with salt, brown sugar and a lillte red pepper flakes.... and two weeks before I go to Canada on a fly-in fishing trip........ maybe I'll start a fishing trip thread, I;ll have my pole err,,, poll

driving to wawa then taking a float plane to Dave Lake, about 49 miles s/e of wawa.. one cabin on a 3 1/2 mile lake, we got it all to ourselves.

It's been reallly hot out here the last week. Between 101 and 107. But at least it's a dry heat

driving to wawa then taking a float plane to Dave Lake, about 49 miles s/e of wawa.. one cabin on a 3 1/2 mile lake, we got it all to ourselves.

I drove to Wawa once. Got stopped at the border, they found a .22 shell in my center console and I was detained for 2 hours while they ripped my Bronco apart looking for the gun that was not there.

Anyway, I saw several moose along the drive, which incidently, is a beautiful scenic drive along Lake Superior.

Flew in/out of Wawa to Silver Lake many, many moons ago. I love the water up there, crystal clear, like looking into an Aquarium.

We went out one incredibly calm morning and we drove across the big lake and snaked our way through to a small lake. When we got there it was just starting to get light and the water was so smooth is literally looked like glass. We just sat there for about 10 minutes not wanting to break the "glass" with a fishing lure. It was beautiful.
