Amazon has started their Black Friday sales and there are some great deals to be had! As you shop this holiday season, please consider using the forum's Amazon.com link (listed in the menu as "Amazon Link") to add items to your cart and purchase them. The forum gets a small commission from every item sold.

Additionally, the forum gets a "bounty" for various offers at Amazon.com. For instance, if you sign up for a 30 day free trial of Amazon Prime, the forum will earn $3. Same if you buy a Prime membership for someone else as a gift! Trying out or purchasing an Audible membership will earn the forum a few bucks. And creating an Amazon Business account will send a $15 commission our way.

If you have an Amazon Echo, you need a free trial of Amazon Music!! We will earn $3 and it's free to you!

Your personal information is completely private, I only get a list of items that were ordered/shipped via the link, no names or locations or anything. This does not cost you anything extra and it helps offset the operating costs of this forum, which include our hosting fees and the yearly registration and licensing fees.

Stay safe and well and thank you for your participation in the Forum and for your support!! --Deborah

  • Off Topic: Non-football related stuff that really makes your day

Must have been another one of threads that got deleted by the server glitch.

My 17 year old just applied to Annapolis and West Point.

Odda are against him getting in but I give him credit for thinking about his future and even trying!

If he doesn't make one of those two he has UCLA as his 1st choice
then UofA for backup if he doesn't get any scholarships and has to pay tuition (in-state cheaper then out-of-state).

He's been a honor student his whole life from elementary school so I think he'll get at least some scholarships. He's also been taking college classes through the H.S. for double credits (HS & college), his whole load next year save 1 class is dual credits.

Congrats to you and your son, King. Entry to the Military Academies are more likely when your Federal Representative and Senator supplies a letter of recommendation.
I long for a Lions team that is consistently competitive.

He has done a little research finding out who and where he needs to send a letter asking for just that. I was under the impression a recommendation was required for all applicants so I told him to start composing a letter of request.
          I'm not to blame.

The abbreviated version of the old thread title lacks a certain je ne sais quoi.

BTW, I really had the urge to type "non-football-related stuff" but that can't be right. Where should the hyphen stay/go?

Now if you would only get rid of that goofy thumbs up icon...

Is there any way you can disable those things for threads. They are irritating as hell

( and yes I'm being a grumpy bastard. So what?)

You all. Take out the "o" and the "u, put an apostrophe in their place, and then squish everything together: y'all. Not ya'll. Y'all.
if your going to correct someone makes sure you know the right answer :-P
