If they continue the path that their careers are taking, Datsyuk would probably get in because of the awards he's won (arguably the best defensive forward in the NHL right now, for example), and that he's often regarded as one of the best stickhandlers to play in a very very long time.

Zetterberg might be a tougher sell because he's not necessarily known as one of the best at any particular element, but that he's exemplary in all of them.

Another Cup or two won't hurt their chances, but I don't think it's vital for their resumes.

I didn't see the hit but Babcock didn't seem to pleased with it. That sucks because Stuart was having a great year. Hopefully Kindl is ready to step back in.

The Red Wings have a lot of players that can explode given the ice time. It's near obscene the depth of talent they have.

Last year, 27 some odd teams would have completely fallen out of the picture with the key injuries the Red Wings had. The Wings scrapped out a 5 seed and a conference semi-finals visit.

I probably don't think of Osgood as a Hall of Famer but the numbers are hard to deny. Chemiclord says it isn't like baseball, he's right, Hockey's Hall of Fame is a lot more lenient in letting people in. I've never thought of Dino Ciccarelli as a Hall of Famer but he's in there. I think he's more deserving than a guy like Dino and a few others.

Damn thats not great news. What the hell is with this team and injuries all the sudden? Time to call up and actually give one of the youngin's some time in goal behind Howard.

Need to start seeing what the other guys can do.

Its not just us , injury's are hurting a lot of teams in the NHL, its just good we are deep. I was talking to a friend and told him the best team in the playoffs is the healthiest team, im sure we would have beat the Penguins if not for the devastating injury's.

I can't remember what his name was but the strength and conditioning coach they had that took snippets of each players hair and concocted a supplement program for each player seemed to have less issues with injuries.

I will admit however, getting hit by pucks, sticks and blindsided with questionable hits will always produce injuries no matter how well conditioned the athlete is.

Howard struggled when he first came up but really blossomed.

I think Ozzie is being put on IR so he can get fitted for his HOF jacket.
