    No it doesn't.

Lions started 5-2 in 2007 and they were playing like shit - that and virtually every opponent they beat was trotting out a backup QB. When you play bad, even winning doesn't disguise it - you are just getting away with it for the time being.

Big difference between pulling for a team you know isn't playing good hockey and convincing yourself they aren't playing bad.

      • There is an ugly absence integrity in the officiating of the NHL. Human error on the part of a ref happens, and everyone knows it when they see it. A liar and a cheat of a referee, everyone knows it when they it too. Bettman is a douchebag.

        • Because it totally makes sense to job their largest American market, don't you know?

That would be like Stern calling a series to say Oklahoma City over the LA Lakers. That would be a stupid as fuck call from a business perspective...

... okay, Bettmann is stupid as fuck, but still... he's not that stupid.

                • Because a dumbshit referee missed it.

Just like they missed Stuart going after Thornton's head later in the game.

Bad officiating does not = conspiracy. It = bad officiating.

Damn ? That wasn't about getting the Sharks deeper into the post season. It was about keeping the Wings out. Pittsburgh and Chicago in the Finals is better for the league than Pitt vs. SJ. San Jose will be next getting jobbed.

First of all... the two linesman can't call penalties (except for bench minors). So it doesn't matter one tenth of one shit if a linesman saw it. They can't blow the whistle.

And all it takes is for the closer referee to decide it wasn't as bad as it looks and the referee further away will accept his judgment on the matter nine tenths of the time.

There you go. All it takes is one shitty decision and the penalty isn't called. No conspiracy... just one dipshit referee making one dipshit decision and play continues with no penalty.

And the last two years of Pittsburgh/Detroit were their highest rated finals in something like fifteen years.

                          That dog don't hunt.

                            • Wednesday's Blackhawks/Canucks Game 3 drew a whopping 10.1 rating on Comcast SportsNet Chicago, the highest rating ever for a Blackhawks game on the network. The 10.1 surpasses the previous record of 9.2 set by Blackhawks/Predators Game 6 on April 26. CSN Chicago has averaged a 9.4 rating for its coverage of the Blackhawks/Canucks series (2 games), up 147% from last year's series between the same two teams (3.8). (Comcast)
                            • Game 3 of the Sharks/Red Wings series drew a 4.1 rating on Comcast SportsNet California Tuesday night. Ratings for the Sharks' victory peaked at a 7.1. (Sharkspage)

                            • You are completely irrational, looking for bogeymen that don't exist.

The Red Wings weren't jobbed. They played like shit and got beat by a team that played better than them.

End of story. Let it go.

                              • Tell me Bettman don't want Chigago in the Finals, and he didn't want the Wings getting in the way and having a rematch with Cindy. Even old man Don Cherry (who dresses funny now) knows BS officiating when he see it. Nothing short of calling Pittsburgh/Montreal a fix.
