          I'm glad Howard got the win under his belt but he needs to start playing better. Giving up 4 goals to defensive team isn't what we need right now. With our offense we dont need him to steal the games (as the Osgood motto) we just dont need him to lose'em.
          As hard as I can be on goalies, I'm gonna cut Howard quite a bit of slack. There's really only two goals that I really think might have been on him.

          The third goal of Game 1. Wouldn't have been an easy save by any means, but if you're gonna win the Cup, a goaltender is going to have to make those.

          And if you're gonna be mean, you could blame the second goal tonight on him. In retrospect, he probably should have frozen that, but Kronwall has to have his rookie goalie's back. He can't get ahead of himself and assume this fellow who has all of one playoff game to his credit is going to make the right call every time.

          Yeah, it looks like Howard is more fighting off the puck than stopping it right now... but I'm going to chalk that up to the jitters of being in the playoffs at this level for the first time, and being asked to be the guy in net. Hopefully he can settle in quickly.

          Now if you want a bad goal, take a look at the first one Niemi for the Blackhawks gave up tonight.
