Dan Cloutier will be in our TC this year. WTF! I pray this is something to push Jimmy Howard and nothing more. Cloutier gives up worse goals then Osgood.

What does everyone think of Howard anyway?

If anyone is seriously interested in getting the nhl games, why not invest in a canadian satellite receiver. It has basically the same programmin as dtv. Showtime and starz are not on the system but there are the canadian movie channels and hbo. As well it has sunday ticket. 189 canadian this year. Has major league baseball, ncaa, nba..you get the jist.\
Network channels are from NewYork, Boston Seattle and I forget where else. Youcansee the entire lineup at bell.ca/tv The drawback is not getting local markets but the cost of programming is less than DTV.
You can find bell receivers on ebay. All you need is a canadian address which I will be happy to arrange for anyone who is serious.

The IIHF governing body says Wednesday that Hudler could join Dynamo despite not having free-agent status after agreeing to salary arbitration with Detroit. The IIHF said the USA Hockey national federation missed a deadline to submit evidence, and the arbitration filing notice was signed by Hudler's agent and not the player.


Hudler signed a two-year, $10 million contract with Dynamo in July.
USA Hockey can appeal the decision.

Attended my first Ducks game of the new NHL season.

A cousin of mine landed 6 tix, 14 rows from the ice for the game against VAN last night (pre-c game 2).

ANA got shut out 3-0 but there was some bad blood out there on the ice starting early on for some reason, as there were something like 4 total fights with the game closing with a near on ice riot.

S. KOIVU (sp?) for the Ducks now is one smooth skater.

I look fwd to his added sniping this year (amongst other added goal scorers they brought in this off-season).

Flip, Williams and Leino are clicking early. I'd rather see what Leino can do on one of the top 2 but the 3rd is a start.

Versus president Jamie Davis says he "[does] not believe" the dispute between Versus and DirecTV -- which resulted in the satellite provider dropping the cable network earlier this month -- will be resolved by the start of the 2009-10 NHL season. DirecTV and Versus have "resumed negotiations ... over their carriage dispute," but both sides "remain apart."

The Ducks entire game approach is going to be different this year.

They are going to join the offensive minded teams this year but still have a tremendous amount of quality D players prepared to do what they do, ANA style.
