I'm not sold on Giggy. Ever since the NHL told him he couldn't wear padding that tripled his size he hasn't seemed to have been as good as he had been.

Giggy had one good year.

Wings have goaltenders in the farm. Howard is next in line. I am not sure what his name is but, the Swedish goaltender that won the last Gold Medal in the Olympics is next in line.

Giggy could be a good backup on the Wings, however he will command starting pay and he is not good enough.....

I would take Giggy as a starter in a heart beat. There's just no room for him on the RWs though unless Ken Holland makes a trade. Osgood played too well during the playoffs to replace him.

This is a HUGE loss. Don't fool yourselves people. You cant lose Hossa, Hudler, and Sammy without replacements.

Leino will be good but the loss of Huds will hurt a lot. We dont have anyone else to step into a scoring roll.
