      • Overmatched and another loss. Again, Mrazek played well for the first two periods but when your team can only score one goal, it’s hard to get the win. I’m kind of surprised they even scored. There was no sustained pressure by Detroit for any period of time that I can think of. It seemed like any time they carried the puck into the Washington zone, the Capitals quickly disrupted their flow, took possession of the puck and headed the other way.

The only thing that gave me hope was Ken Daniels and Chris Osgood talking about the Wings’ prospects. So maybe I should just start paying attention in 3-4 years…

            • That had to have been one of the craziest games ever.

              1. The Wings lose Mrazek minutes into the game and that seemed like a bad sign considering he’s been one of the few bright spots the past few weeks.
              2. They then give up a power play goal immediately.
              3. They tie it up shortly after that on one shot.
              4. They take four more penalties during the game but amazingly do not give up a power play goal.
              5. Near the end of the 2nd period they have a 2-1 lead but they’ve only managed 4 shots.
              6. The Austin Watson goal is one of the strangest deflections I’ve ever seen.
              7. The Wings score an empty netter and then score again after that to get 5 goals in total on 14 shots.
