  • I missed the first two games. I saw some of tonight and still feel the defensive breakdowns are too much.

    • I didn’t get to see tonight’s game but they gave up 5 goals. Is Lalonde not concerned about the defense?

      • Rough start. I feel like this year has to be the year they get back in the playoffs. I'm hoping that this is just a case of the Rangers and Penguins being really good and not that we're bad.

        • You can't get off to these kind of starts and expect to get into the playoffs. Last year was the year based on the low point totals in the East, nobody expects the threshold this year will be in the low 90s. Their only win came when Cam Talbot had 42 saves. The defense wasn't good enough last year and so far it hasn't improved.

          • Lyon gets another shutout. He made some great saves but what is with the offense? They only had two shots in the first period and something like 12 for the whole game.

            • Officially it was 10 shots on goal. Isles took 29. I can't ever remember a a game with that few for the wings.

              • They were lucky Lyon played as well as he did.

                • Wings won their third straight last night but it’s hard to feel good about how they’re playing.

                  • Wings lose Saturday and then lost in Ot today against Edmonton. They looked great in the first period today. They outshot the Oilers and looked like they had a jump in their step. I hope they can play like that more often.

                    • Last year you felt like the lions were the class of Detroit sports and the Wings were next in line while the Tigers and Pistons weren’t expected to do much. The Lions are still head of the class but the Tigers made the playoffs with an impressive regular season finish and the Pistons after changing head coaches appear to be playing harder and making a push for relevancy. But the Wings are just spinning their wheels. They’ve been a pretty big disappointment so far.

                      • I thought with how they finished that they would be motivated to carry it over into the next season. The big issue is they were paying Raymond and Seider small salaries and now they are getting around 8 million a piece. That is 12 million out of the available Space Losing some of those vets are having a bigger effect than I thought.
