Wings pull off a regulation victory against Washington. Granted, they had a lot of injuries but I’ll take it. Raymond also got another goal today.

He's not the best but at least he's got a positive goals saved above expected line even if it's only 1.4. He's 26th in the league in that. Nedeljkovic is 65th in the league at -6.5. Ned does have talent but he's a streaky player that needs to find consistency and I'm doubtful it happens.

None of the Griffins goalies are off to a good start, including Cossa. No idea how much of that is on them vs. defense though.

Goals saved above expected line? That must be one of the dumbest stats I’ve ever read. Is that a real thing? I’m a few rum and cokes in right now, I’ll have to read it again tomorrow morning.

Husso is 4-1–1 giving up 2 goals a game. That’s damned good for how they acquired him

I didn't mean it as a bad thing so much as just let's temper our expectations. I've been watching all the games and he's certainly playing well. The defense is helping him a lot to not face a lot of difficult shots.

They are helping Ned too but Ned is still letting those shots by. Hence the negative stat.

No I get what you were saying, I’ve just never heard that stat before. It sounds like my kid made it up.

Ned can make the ridiculous highlight saves but he let’s do many softies in. Husso is the #1a IMO but both goalies are light years ahead of where we were in the dark ages before them

Other than a couple games, the WIngs have played some good hockey this season....

Yeah, so far they seem to be beating the teams that aren't as good consistently. They are 2-3-2 against winning teams though. So I'm not sure it they are quite there yet. We will see though.
