Short back story......, my wife's best pal & bridesmaid --->> she moved to Perth, Australia years ago. Her husband used to play for the Murrayfield Racers. They had their only son Samuel over there and he is now 18. He too plays ice hockey and wanted to do a year out over here in Scotland. Richie, (the husband) got him signed for Kilmarnock Thunder.
The Racers are now called the Edinburgh Capitals.

They played last weekend. Sacha and Pauline are in attendance.

The Capitals won 15-0

They don't have too many guys they think are ready.

Yeah, that's the problem, they keep them down too long. I'm all for developing some good habits, but it seems to me that they overdo it.

That's true, but right now there is not much at Grand Rapids that could be up and are staying down there. Danielson and Cossa are the only potential ones I see.

Not to mention, who they gonna sell? None of our young guys, not much in way of enticing expiring deals.

Wings win tonight. After giving up two early goals (one by Seider on his own net), the Wings score five straight (including an empty netter) to take the game. They looked good in general. Having a 2-man advantage power play helped.

Wings win again and again after giving up the first two goals. Hopefully this doesn’t become a habit. This time it went to a shootout. Lyon looked really good after the first two goals went in.

And even if this doesn’t lead to anything, beating the Oilers is always nice. They’re one of the top teams in the league with the best player and I will always want the Oilers to lose.

Yeah, nice win.............and in Edmonton as well. I am hoping that the slow start is just from traveling. Hopefully this first game is a good thing to come on this road trip.

Wings just won their 6th straight. Third straight on this Western trip. When they gave up the goal in the third I figured they would collapse. They looked dead on their feet, especially in the 3rd period. But they hung on to win in OT.
