Yzerman's future is in doubt in TB? Where did that rumor come from? If that's the case I'd prefer to let Holland drag the franchise down until Stevie Y gets fired to bring him home. We need to start stacking draft picks.

Blashit is garbage. He must go home and night and laugh himself silly thinking how stupid all these people are for giving him these killer opportunities. I mean seriously just about everyone at one point or another gets some great job that's way over their head but most can either fake the funk or figure things out.

Former Red Wing announcer and long-time NHL voice will be back in the national booth these playoffs despite his ongoing battle with cancer. That would be Dave Strader, who’s spent 37 years covering hockey. He tweeted Monday that he’ll be calling the first two games of the Washington Capitals – Toronto Maple Leafs series for NBC Thursday and Saturday:

Riley Sheahan — AGE: 25. CONTRACT: Ends 2018, $2.075 million. STATS: 80 games, 2 goals, 11 assists. Didn’t score a goal until the final game of the season. Had a miserable season, offensively. Wouldn’t be shocking to see Vegas pick him in the expansion draft.
Jonathan Ericsson — AGE: 33. CONTRACT: Ends 2020, $4.25 million per. STATS: 51 games, 1 goals, 8 assists. The Red Wings value Ericsson’s size (6-foot-5), skating ability and defensive presence. One of Ken Hollands favorites, should finish his career in Detroit at his say.
