Well, they are doing everything they can to miss the playoffs. Amazingly, the power play has been clicking lately. Tonight's three PP goals seemed a little weird considering the circumstances but they capitalized the way good teams should. Unfortunately, they blew the lead and let Montreal take it from them. With Boston losing tonight it would have been a golden opportunity to jump past them.
Holland says he'll sign the Roomba as long as he signs a waiver from injury resulting from boarding or interference plays.
......and it has to be a 3 year contract with a base salary of $10.00 in year one, &30.00 in year two, $50.00 in year three with a $10.00 guaranteed as a signing bonus. Batteries guaranteed.
I long for a Lions team that is consistently competitive.
I'll provide replacement defense (Roomba with taped stick blade) for $100 guaranteed and lifetime battery replacement.
Otherwise my other client, road cone, will take league minimum with guarantee of not being used as megaphone or "anything involving the butt".
Let's make a deal Holland.
Road cone!!!
F#*K OHIO!!!
You're not only an amazingly beautiful man, but you're the greatest football mind to ever exist. <-- Jeffy Shittypants actually posted this. I knew he was in love with me.
Now maybe Holland will be able to get off his hands once the streak ends and he doesn't have anything to stay in a holding pattern for.
This sucks but I think you're right. We've been lucky all of these years to have the Wings.
Can we bring Stevie Y home now?

I honestly believe the problem isn't so much Holland, but that he's been wary of making moves dealing young talent that could potentially blow up in his face because his eye is on breaking that playoff streak.
I don't think it is that, I think it is the opposite. He is guilty of over valuing the young talent and relying on that. They have a lot of good young players but outside of Larkin no true standouts. The Wings use to be great at determining what young prospects to keep and which ones they flipped. Now they don't deal anyone. I'm not sure if it is because the league is less enamored with these players or the Wings don't want to deal them.
That would be as choice, maybe more, as Harbaugh to Michigan.
The current Red Wing situation is not that bad. Not even close.

I am thinking his logic is since, the rules have changed and Holland seems to be limited in the post open checkbook style of management, bring Stevie home.
He has a keen eye for talent and the intelligence to understand the relatively new restrictions with a cap.
I long for a Lions team that is consistently competitive.
