Dont get me wrong, he certainly had no problem dropping the gloves and sticking up for his teammates. He wasn't intimidating or taking shifts as in Joey Kocer, Stu Grimson ect...to fight. He was really a player that was helping the team win.

You must be trolling because you have me defending McCarty while comparing him to Federov, and obviously Federov was a better player. He was splendid. Again, fans like who they like. If you don't have people coming out for Sergei, what are you going to do? Besides label those fans idiots.

McCarty was better than an enforcer. He, Draper and Maltby were so effective as a line, that they started games over the stars, and they presented instant match up problems. During 99.9% of the time, McCarty wasn't an enforcer in his roll.

McCarty shouldn't, and he won't, get his number retired. But that doesn't mean I don't like him and look fondly back at his participation with the Wings.

The Wings played well tonight but they're still a little sloppy defensively. They'll have to shore that up if they want to go far on the playoffs.

Glad to see the Wings contend nearly the whole game with a good team. Howard looked sharp as well.

This kid is just blistering the puck in GR. He's the leading contender for the MVP even though he's spent a good chunk of time in the NHL. The media was hyping Mantha last fall but that injury cost him. Pulkinnen is a monster and stepped up for the #1 prospect as of now. I hope it carries over to the NHL.

Ya I hear ya. Zach's team lost on a rebound shot with .5 seconds left last night. So disappointing. They had them bu six with 1:20 minutes to go. Uhhhhhhhhhhh. Couple unprovoked mistakes lost the game.

My daughter's team won 40-2, the coach wanted a shutout. Personally I think its bad form to deliver the shutout, it's better if the other team gets a bucket or two.
