Anaheim had the guns to come back.

The Wings don't, and Hiller's been amazing. He'd need to fall asleep for the rest of the game... and even then I'm not sure the Wings could put the puck on net tonight.

Abdelkader should be on a bus out of town tonight. He's not nearly good enough to excuse that level of boneheadedness.

Not sure how these Fox Det announcers are defending the hit right as I post, Mickey and Ken celebrated it too when it happened. Justin Abdelkader has a knack for taking dump penalties, this one seemed to turn the game.

Mickey and Ken are starting to change their tune a bit now... saying it was a penalty - looking in slow motion (but should only be 2:00). Series is over (baring a miracle).

I thought the hit was fine, it's the ANA way of old and part of the game that i grew up watching. The part where he launched himself off the ice is what the officials had to call.

Funny thing is, had he NOT launched himself off the ice, it would have been exactly that hard shoulder to shoulder hit that would have been completely clean and knocked Lydman off his feet just as easily.

Saw a different angle of the hit now, he did get hit in the jaw and there was a launch made. Certain penalty.
