With Chicago being so good right now, perhaps that is a good thing.

I would love to see the Wings play Chicago in the first round of the playoffs.

....and bounce them so they understand the Playoffs are different than the regular season?

Wait, Wings know that, so does Scotty.

With Scotty calling the shots, don't expect failure. He is a winner.

          • No shit, those Blackhawks would have no idea what a deep playoff run is like.

I mean, it's not like they won the Cup in 2010 or anything.

So you are saying that if you won a cup, you have an inside track on the playoffs because you have been there?

Takes a hot goalie and everyone healthy.

Get that, and there is a fast track to the Cup.

It was in response to the idea that Bowman's presence gets them playoff hardened.

The Blackhawks are already pretty well versed in playoff hockey, Bowman or not.

                • With due respect........

Blackhawks did not get into deep playoff hockey until Bowman was on board.

He does know his shit and how to get to the prized end.

                  • Blackhawks will not beat the wings in a playoff series so long as Quenville is the coach....that guy has never won a postseason series against the wings.

                          .....as do all teams.

Currently they are in 5th, one point out of 4th with 1st 2nd and 3rd being Division leaders and they have one point more than one of the division leaders.

At this point in the season, I do not see them missing the playoffs.

They've also played two games more than the teams 6-8, and one game more than the team in 9th.

Missing the playoffs is entirely possible.

                            • With 18 games left it's still up in the air. They could wind up 4th or 10th, the games in hand of the other teams isn't a factor yet.

                                It is possible. Not probable.

                                It matters not.

What is the difference in making the playoffs and getting bounced in the first round and not making the playoffs at all?

                                Nothing to me.
