Preds forced the Wings to fling the puck without purpose. ...caused them to miss passes and mishandle the few pucks they didn't beat the Wings to.

Give credit to the Preds. They forced the Wings to play the way they wanted them to.

Still keeping the play on the parimeters and not enough Wing presence in the slot.

Recipe for disaster.

Well, Babcocks comments hit the nail on the head.

They went something like this.

"We were in the finals in '09 then got bounced in the second round the next two years and the first round this year. Doesn't sound like we're going in the right direction to me."
