Howard with another shutout.. The Wings have struggled to score all season but Howard has played really well. If we can keep him fresh for the playoffs he could be really special.

Streaky Wings do it again. Win 5 in a row in beating Nashville and taking the lead in the central.
Filpulla is putting together a nice little season. He's on pace for mid - high 20's in goals. Maybe the kid has figured it out that if you actually shoot the puck, good things can happen.F#*K OHIO!!!

Sometimes I wish I could get into regular season hockey like I used to. It's just the most pointless out of any of the "Big 4" sports.
I may try to go see the Wings when they play at MSG but otherwise, I only really get pumped for the playoffs.

A year late but still necessary
Carlyle fired after Ducks' 4-1 win over Habs
Sorry CAT
Anaheim also jettisoned assistant coaches Mike Foligno and Dave Farrish in a clean-house move after a 2-12-4 run over the previous 18 games marked the worst stretch in Carlyle's seven-year tenure.19.1119, NO LONGER WAITING

Don't cry for me California. I doubt I will be talking to Wrangler anytime soon. He can brood around his friends at the best of times. Besides they are all rich.
Your should see Foligno's house. He was showing me the basement under the basement one time. He could house two hockey squads with no problem
He's already planning to return home. Since the death of his wife, he travels light. Here's how one of the Sudbury papers handled the story. Bigger news here than in anaheim that's for sure. But as I told you they were all getting the sense something was up, so the newpaper accounts of the shock he must've experienced after returning to his office following the post game newser is the imagination of the reporter.

Former Wolves Carlyle, Foligno, Farrish relieved of duties
By: Sudbury Northern Life Staff
The NHL's Anaheim Ducks have done a total overhaul with their coaching staff, relieving head coach Randy Carlyle and assistant coaches Mike Foligno and Dave Farrish, as well as video co-ordinator Joe Trotta of their duties, according to the Ducks website.
The Ducks are currently in 29th place in the league, with a record of 7-13-4.
Carlyle, Foligno and Farrish all played for the Sudbury Wolves in the early 1970's, with Foligno going on to coach the OHL squad from 2003-2010.
Carlyle had been the Ducks' head coach since 2005. He led the Ducks to their first Stanley Cup championship (2007), Pacific Division championship (2007) and five playoff appearances in six seasons (2005-09, 2011).
Foligno was signed on as an assistant coach with the team in June 2010, while Farrish was with the team since 2006.
Bruce Boudreau has been named as head coach, while Brad Lauer has been added to the Ducks' staff as an assistant coach. One additional assistant coach will be named at a later date.
“This was an extremely difficult decision,” Ducks executive vice-president and general manager Bob Murray was quoted as saying on the Ducks website.
“Randy is a terrific head coach, and did a tremendous job for us for six-plus seasons ... At this time, we simply felt a new voice was needed. Bruce is a proven winner with a great track record, and we are optimistic we can turn this season around under his leadership.”

Its getting lots of play with Ducks fans out here.
We all agree, new voices are needed. That crew hit the wall with the players.
Now its time to see if its the players.
SOSCIA of the Angels needs to go for the same reason. Change is inevitable.19.1119, NO LONGER WAITING
