Thats actually one of the few times I totally agree with Sharp. I mean WTF. Turtle seriously in Detroit signing autographs. F him, Roy and Foreskin.

Forsberg atleast told the Wings a few years ago not to even bother trying to acquire him because of his hatred for the Wings. I cant imagine him doing a book tour in The D or signing some autographs.

WingsFan, were you a Wingsfan when they sucked? I mean, I remember on TV watching Toronto beat the Wings 13-0; the Wings scored on their own goal--twice! They missed the playoffs 20 of 23 years. Under Darkness with Harkness, if a guy had a bad game the Wings immediately traded him; I think the only guy left at the end of the season was Nick Libett. Were you a fan then, or is your only recollection of them being a winner?

I think you guys misunderstood that is an answer to us getting knocked out in the first round. The record of 20 was just being reported a lot locally, I really don't think it a big deal or not with so many teams making the playoffs.

Yes, all my life, but to young for those days, they were the "Dead Wings" when I was first a fan. I remember be so excited when Jacques Demers took us to the playoffs (funny). I also remember Bryan Murray and his playoff woes, and an unknown player called Bob Probert being interviewed in street clothes between periods as an up and comer tough guy. I still have my 'Bruise Brothers' fighting tape, I would wait for a fight then record it.

Was that the game Ian Turnbull scored 5 times? I wasn't a fan of Toronto, but as a boy they were on tv a lot more than the Wings (before cable) every Saturday on Hockey Night in Canada. As a boy my favorite players were Dale McCourt and Reed Larson, now that gos way back, not even sure how good they were.
