  • Toronto is a great spot for Lebda. I really think the kid can play and will show it if he makes one of their top pairings.

        • I like the Eaves signing but with Lebda leaving that raises another red flag on the D.
I long for a Lions team that is consistently competitive.

          • No room for Lebda. Kindl has much more upside and we are out of options. Its questionable whether Meech will be a Red WIng next year also.

            • I hope Kindl develops for us. We need do get some promising young DMen rolling.

Yeah me too. I'd like for him to play a year with Lids but I think he needs a year in the minors.

                          • and from everything I've read is that the Leafs are loving the Lebda pickup. I'm actually rooting for him too. He played really well as a rook in the playoffs but never grew past that (I hope Ericsson isnt going down the same road).

Detroit coach Mike Babcock firmly believes it's only a matter of time before Mike Modano signs with the Red Wings.

                              • I have always like him. I am just sorry he comes as an aging vet.

This is curious the way Holland is spending cap monies.

Not that I am in the position to question Hollands philosophy but, not knowing what he is offering Modano, he likely will have 10-11MM tied up in two players that are really getting long in the tooth.
