But you are correct that the rest of the team did him no favors when killing penalties. The first two goals there was absolutely nothing Howard could have done. The Penalty Kill looked like garbage, and Phoenix owned the entire zone when they were on the man advantage.
All in all, the Wings didn't play badly at all. When all things were even, they were the better team. But they have to either not get penalties (which isn't going to happen) or they're going to have to be a lot better when down a man.
