FL,
Bert isn't what he used to be with his physical game but he's still a power forward w/ a big frame and good hands. In 07 he was the best player on the ice at times in the playoffs for us. He's also great in front of the net. We'll have 4 pain in the ass forwards for opposing goalies and D's to deal with. (Homer, Cleary, Franzen and Bert). I'll take him as a 4th liner.F#*K OHIO!!!
You're not only an amazingly beautiful man, but you're the greatest football mind to ever exist. <-- Jeffy Shittypants actually posted this. I knew he was in love with me.

I'm afraid I really don't have anything significant to offer the Bertuzzi thing. All I can do is rehash what he told a bunch of us sitting around a table a few weeks after he finished the season with the Wings. One of the guys asked if he was returning to play for them again the next season. Todd said he'd be willing to go back, but that he had been given the impression the Wings no longer wanted him.
I think resigning him now speaks more to the management's assessment of the roster
than anything else.
BTW, Rocky, My compliments on a few posts you made regarding Hossa a while back. You were bang in in my opinion.

I am not sure I agree with the Arbitron ratings that most of the TV people use as a bible. However, I am sure that if a sporting event was televised, there might be people who want to watch. I am also sure that if the game is not provided in the living room at no out of pocket expence to the user, they will not likely be exposed to the event and could care less about putting out money unless someone they know is participating.
Hence the NFL is going to shoot themselves in the foot with their sell out policy as the young people who might watch games with their parents, will not become fans because other activities will be sought out as someone in the house is not watching "the game".I long for a Lions team that is consistently competitive.

Hmmmm. I can understand why you are not a hockey fan. I also understand why some are not Soccer fans. However, just because you do not follow them does not mean they are not sports that some might want to watch. It's so flat you can watch your dog run away for three days.
