      • Ozzie stoning Malkin like that on a breakaway in a 1-1 game, classic! I don't know about first ballot HOF, but if we win back to back, his resume is going to be pretty hard to turn away...

              • Aside from cups won, lets compare the stats between Ozzie and the last two goalies inducted into the HOF. Patrick Wha, wha, wha, and Grant Fuhr.

                Season played:

                Osgood 15
                Roy 19
                Fuhr 19

                Regular Season Stats:

                Games played

                Osgood 710, Roy 1029, Fuhr 868

                Wins

                Osgood- 389, Roy- 551, Fuhr 403

                Losses

                Osgood- 204, Roy- 315, Fuhr- 295

                Ties/OT

                Osgood-89, Roy-131, Fuhr- 114

                Career Save percentage:

                Osgood-.906, Roy- .916, Fuhr- .887

                Shut outs:

                Osgood- 49, Roy-66, Fuhr-25

                Goals:

                Osgood-1, Roy-0, Fuhr-0

                Assists:

                Osgood-18, Roy-45, Fuhr-40

                Playoffs:

                Games Played:

                Osgood-122, Roy-247, Fuhr-150

                Wins:

                Osgood- 72, Roy-151, Fuhr-92

                Losses:

                Osgood-45, Roy-94, Fuhr-50

                Save percentage:

                Osgood-.916, Roy- .918, Fuhr- .900

                Shut Outs:

                Osgood-14, Roy- 23, Fuhr-6

                Assists:

                Osgood-4, Roy- 11, Fuhr-14

I suspect if Ozzie plays another three or four seasons to get close to the seasons played by Wahhhhhh and Fuhr, he will only increase his numbers that show he is a qualified candidate. Take into consideration cups won, and I think it is a no-brainer.

                    • They play of Helm, Leino, and Abdelkader was a huge bonus. They're our Kid Line. The first time I ever rooted for a Spartan. Justice prevailed when Ozzie stopped Malkin, who got a breakaway after tripping Kronwall. Fleury should be better tonight. Don't expect to see Dats.

                      • Dats is the fourth leading scorer in the NHL right? You'd think the announcers would have announced his absence. Could you imagine if Crosby (6 more points than Dats) had been hurt??

                        • ESPN just did it's tease for the hockey game. It was can Sid the Kid beat that other team.

The refs let some stuff go last night, which is good for the Wings because Sid and Nancy get most of their points on the PP.

I dont know where'd we be without Helm. His speed and hitting have been awesome.

Like when Cooke hit Holmstrom? Gotta expect that. The league thinks Homer is a punching bag. 1 PP for Detroit. 2 PPs for Pitt. I'll take it if it keeps Crosby and Malkin off the board.
