The Kronwall "penalty" (5 min interference and game misconduct) on a legal check did not help matters. It's 3-1 now.

I knew there was an issue with Chemi. May he never watch another wings game.;)
Edit:
Wow I was being sarcastic and poking fun at Chemi. But now 3-3 hat quickly, if anyone knows him in RL maybe he should be banned from watching Wings games.

Looking at replays of the Kronwall hit, the 5 minute major is consistent with what the NHL has mandated.
This was very similar to the hit put on Hudler by Brown in the Anaheim/Detroit series. It wasn't malicious, but it was a blow to the head. Kronwall had decided long before to make that hit, come hell or high water, and he hit Havlat in the head.
That's 5 minutes, ladies and gentlemen, no matter intent, no matter why it happens. You don't hit opponents in the head. Period.

I arrived late for the game due to son's HS graduation. I saw 15 mins of the third. Glad the RWs were able to come back from 3 down. It looked like Kronwall came in a little high on his check, although they haven't shown a great angle.------------

Another juicy rebound given up by Osgood leads to the game winning goal.
I know he was partially screened... I know Lidstrom lost his stick... but he has got to control pucks better. It's been a problem all his career, and it led to two Blackhawk goals tonight, including the game winner.
At some point, your goalie has to make the tough save. Osgood doesn't do so consistently, and why the Wings have such a putrid overtime record when he's in net.Last edited by chemiclord; May 22, 2009, 10:04 PM.
