      • And Hossa finds his groove. Pairing him with Franzen and Filpulla has created a lethal line the Ducks just cannot match right now.

        • I was thinking the same thing about Hossa right before he scored his first goal.

          • Nice period for the Wings. Was getting a bit worried that Ozzy was going to crumble, but at least Hossa gave him a nice cushion.
Sure, luck means a lot in football. Not having a good quarterback is bad luck.

HELL YEAH!!! That line is sick.
              F#*K OHIO!!!

You're not only an amazingly beautiful man, but you're the greatest football mind to ever exist. <-- Jeffy Shittypants actually posted this. I knew he was in love with me.

              • The Ducks will find some line to counter it. But hopefully thats not going to happen soon.

For what it's worth, Osgood never really "crumbles".

He just has one (or two, or three) moments a game where... I dunno... something in his brain turns off and its like he forgets that he actually has the talent to be a great (and even elite) goaltender.

He can literally go from a diving, near miraculous save... to giving up an unimpeded shot from the blue line seconds later. It can be real frustrating to watch when he gives up goals that he really should have the ability to stop.

                  • That happens to most every goalie with maybe the exception of Brodeur.

                    • 3-goal lead. Hiller chased for Gigu?re.

                      • That was reminiscent of the Yzerman goal.

                        • It's amazing to watch the Wings when they start playing with a little confidence. All the little touch passes seem so perfect.

                          • They have the Ducks on their heels for the first time this series. The Ducks haven't answered the bell in the 3rd.

It sure seems to happen to Osgood more often than most.

I guess it's more the stark contrast. Every goaltender (EVEN Brodeur) has moments where they're concentration slips. But I have never seen a goaltender go from incredible to complete shit as quickly and as remarkably as Osgood.

                              • How many goalies have you watched as much as you watched Osgood?
