It's a shame that the ref was out of position on that Hossa goal but the Wings have to start better. They showed life after the Zetterberg goal but they have to play the full 60 minutes.

Those damn refs!!
There is no way the WINGS should have had a power play for ZETTS to score on because HOLMSTROM had just "accidentally" had a high flying elbow that just happened to flatten the DUCKS most active hitter and bloody him.
Yeah, those damn refs!
2-0 falsely turned 2-1 and some think should have eventually got to 2-2 late but from where I stand, its one of those lucky bounces that sometimes goes your way.
Ain't that right Mark?
I've seen plenty of strange bounces this series already with ANA favored most often.
Still only 2-1
Game 4 is going to be frantic.19.1119, NO LONGER WAITING

Just saw the highlights this morning. Babcock, among others, said the Wings continue to start slowly, but with a 45-21 shot advantage I assume that Hiller was the difference? Watching the replay, it sure sounds like the whistle came after the puck was in the net.
For any who haven't seen the goal theft:

Sports Illustrated poll: Anaheim defenseman Chris Pronger one of dirtiest players in NHL
by Ansar Khan Wednesday May 06, 2009, 1:10 AM
ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Anaheim Ducks defenseman Chris Pronger doesn't wear his reputation as a dirty player as a badge of honor. He was miffed Tuesday to finish tied for first with Dallas' Steve Ott in a Sports Illustrated poll ranking the dirtiest players in the league.
Pronger said he disagreed with the poll, although it did not surprise him.
The magazine surveyed 324 players, and Pronger and Ott each received 13 percent of the vote. Jarkko Ruutu of Ottawa was third at 12 percent, with Sean Avery of the New York Rangers fourth at 10 percent, followed by Scott Hartnell of Philadelphia at 5 percent.Last edited by Rocky Bleier; May 6, 2009, 07:41 AM.I'll let you ban hate speech when you let me define hate speech.

And for being allegedly a bunch of knowledgable hockey fans, some of you are clearly clueless about how the play can be called dead by the official.
It doesn't matter when you hear the whistle, the moment the official wants to waive a play dead, that's when it is dead regardless of when you hear him finally blow the whistle.
Split second late in this case is confusing some of you. The official was waiving it off prior to the whistle sound.Last edited by Panoptes; May 6, 2009, 10:21 AM.19.1119, NO LONGER WAITING

This was from a poster on another site. Did anyone else see it? Truth? Not you, Gonz. I know what you'll say.
The winning goal for Anaheim was on a power play where the ref from center ice called Stuart for interference behind the net...when Stuart hit a guy that had the puck, and the ref right there didn't call it.
Oh, and the goal they scored on the ensuing power play fluttered into the net because Getzlaf hit Osgood.I'll let you ban hate speech when you let me define hate speech.
