I thought last year was going to be easier....No way did I see the Vikings at 14-2 going into the last game of the season...Im expecting the unexpected again this year...The NFL changes very quickly.

    • Brad is cooking with gas. They needed a blocking tight end desperately.
The Detroit Lions are signing a big, physical tight end in free agency with four years of experience.

      • Yep, 100% needed. I’ve been eyeballing the kid from Ga Tech, Jackson Hawes, who the nastiest blocking TE in the draft. Would love to get him on day 3 too.

        • Not much went wrong offensively for the Lions but there were times when they couldn't grind down their opponents with a running game. Upgrading the blocking tight end could really help out because they didn't really have one.

          • Agude, O’Connor, Zylstra and Reynolds all back, assuming all on 1 year deals.

            • Still wondering about if they bring back Muhammad and Awosika. I imagine Awosika is the fallback option if they don't sign a guard in free agency.

              • POD made a comment to the effect that the Lions liked what they saw from Muti last year before he got hurt in camp. But at least with Yoda you’ve seen he can at least hold the forty down decently in an emergency.

The Detroit Lions are re-signing Al-Quadin Muhammad, as they continue to fill out their defensive end room.

The Detroit Lions are adding veteran cornerback depth with former second-round pick Rock Ya-Sin.

                              • Avonte Maddox has been signed, he started a few games last year for the Eagles after he was cut and re-signed by him. He was better than Rock Ya-Sinn last season but it's safe to say it was subpar compared to previous seasons.

Also, they re-signed Khalil Dorsey. The corner position definitely has depth.
The Detroit Lions are adding another solid veteran cornerback in former Eagle Avonte Maddox.
