I think the hire happened around when I posted. Unfortunately, it makes sense as Williams worked under Vrabel before coming here. That might be a harder loss for us than Johnson & Glenn. We have ready made replacements for them, but Williams upgraded our DL after the prior weak DL coach.

Good crop of DL prospects to keep an eye on at the senior bowl next week. The Ole Miss and A&M guys for sure. And then there’s Landon Jackson (6’7”, 280lbs) who has the build they like and whose game in some ways reminds of Hutch. Think he’s my way too early favorite for the Lions pick in round 1.

The Senior Bowl revealed 120-plus 2025 NFL Draft prospects who have accepted invitations to participate in this year's all-star game. Eric Edholm highlights five things to keep an eye on during the week-long event in Mobile, Alabama.

Good Lord. This guy is a dumbass. Every time a see a clip of this guy, I wonder who the fuck listens to him?

My "guess" is that Zeitler most likely wants to stay in Detroit for a shot at a ring and he isn't going to break the bank.

I feel like I am watching the destruction of our democracy while my neighbors and friends cheer it on

If Zeitler is willing to take similar deal to this season he would be back. You probably would want Mahogany to beat out Glasgow for the other spot, he is probably better as backup. But if Zeitler left you are either looking on the market or drafting a guard.

The tricky thing about getting Zeitler back is at some point you have to start getting younger on the offensive line. But they have cap space this year, things start to get more complicated in 2026.

G should be an easy position to address. But them I'm reminded of a franchise that for 2 DECADES couldn't address the G position.

Anyone who thinks that's a stunning lack of knowledge from Mike Valenti has never listened to him.

That is, in fact, a perfectly typical lack of knowledge from Mike Valenti.

He has a lot of wide ranging experience in the NFL and college. I've never heard of him.
The first candidate for the Detroit Lions’ offensive coordinator position has emerged: Broncos passing game coordinator John Morton.

Well, looks like I had it completely backwards - hiring outside for OC and inside for DC. Shows what I fucking know!
