I think they have to go DL early in the draft, maybe even double up like they did in Holmes first year.
As for Davis, he leaves you are looking for a starting CB, a borderline #1 or co #1 really until Arnold proves he’s up to the task. Rakestraw had so little action and has history of injuries, so hard to say he can be counted on. The fall back is Amik, but he’s best as the 3rd CB.
The good thing is, there are a number of CBs set to hit the market this year that are all in the good but not elite class. That could depress the numbers a bit and make Davis more affordable than we think. Last years FA CBs did not break the bank, but the seasons FA class is stronger (Chidobe Awuzie had the biggest deal at 3/$36M).
