I think the Lions now see Amik as a perfectly valid option at the corner opposite Arnold after Amik balled out in Davis's absence. So, he's probably right that Detroit isn't going to be particularly aggressive in outbidding anyone else.

Every source is reporting it now. Are there rules against players publicly saying anything until Wednesday maybe?
He's a really good player, he's smaller at 5'9", so a little bit different than than what they have been after as an outside corner. But he's been a very good opposite Sauce Gardner the last couple of years. A lot of the FA rankings had him above or at least on the same level with CD3.

Iffy to Miami on 1 year $4M deal. Sucks that he could never stay on the field here, but the best ability is availability. Lions seem to like Strickland quite a bit and he’s a good ST player.
I was expecting them to look at a S/CB hybrid in the draft anyway.
