Tyler Booker, OG from Alabama with a legendary answer to why he loves football:
“Everybody loves to play football when it’s easy, but who loves to play football when it’s hard? I feel like that’s what separates the good guys from the great guys at football. And, ultimately, I just love the aggressiveness and tenacity of the game of football. It’s legal assault out there. I love football, but the brand of football that I play, I make guys not love football anymore, and I do that every day, every down by just giving them my all and letting them know I’m not going to let up. So the thing I love most about football is taking the love away from those people.”

5th year option amount finalized. Decisions need to be made by May 1st.
Hutch would be just under $20m and Jamo $15.5m.

Seems that the mock draft tools haven't caught up with consensus thoughts on a lot of these guys, so I generally don't think Campbell will be there at 28. LBs can be weird sometimes, and especially off ball LBs can slide further than you think. But the fact that Campbell can also rush the passer at a high level probably prevents that from happening.

Campbell would be great but as has been mentioned probably won't be there when we draft. That doesn't mean he won;' or Holmes won't move up. I like they are concentrating on the "D". That's where they need the help.GO LIONS "25" !!

An extension for Hutch should be the plan. I would not extend Williams (yet) - pick up his fifth year, and lets see what he does. Need to see maturation, no off the field incidents, on the field discipline, and him dedicated to his job. In a good note, I hear he's been doing some good things for the community...that is a sign of maturation and giving back.
EARN IT, Jameson Williams.Got Kneecaps?

So per Dave Birkett sources, the Lions are looking to spend closer to $12m / year on a vet CB and Davis is looking $15M+.
So that annoys me a bit (if accurate) - they trade a 3rd round pick for a guy making almost $15M because he’s a great fit with what they want, he plays great and now they are balking at paying him the level they are already paying him? This was my concern last year that they sacrificed a valuable pick for a 1 year rental.
In theory I don’t oppose trying to get somebody a bit cheaper, but could have taken the same approach last year instead of tossing a pick away.

Glad to see Garrett resign with Cleveland.
Now we don't have to worry about him going to a team in the division or the NFC for that matterI feel like I am watching the destruction of our democracy while my neighbors and friends cheer it on

Or deal with endless speculation about a Lions deal that was never going to happen.
Remember when that idiot Mike Tannebaum said the Lions should trade Gibbs and 3 first round picks for Garrett? Good times.
