  • The Quest Continues. Playoff Game Day Thread. Commanders at Lions. 1/18/25

    It's finally here. Game Day.

Years ago before a college Championship game, the late, great, Kieth Jackson was doing his intro and he said, The dancin' is done, now it's time to get busy behind the barn" and that sums today up nicely

Well, the dancin' is done. Time to take care of bidness (TKB, bitches )

    Lions 38-17

    Kick the MF'n ball!

    Let's Goooooooooooooooooo!

    Go Lions! Big game.
I don’t have much to say or add… just excited to watch the Lions tonight.

There’s a new Haagen-Dazs Strawberry Cheesecake flavor container of ice cream in my freezer. Very possible that will be eaten in one sitting based on the stress level with this game. I rather hope it’s stress free in the end, but Jayden Daniels is a special rookie.

Not taking anything for granted in the playoffs....after blowing a 24-7 halftime lead in the NFC championship game (and fairly easily at that) it shows that nothing is safe until the final whistle blows.

          Let’s fucking go!!!!!!!!

Personally, very much trying to deal with the anxiety of being the favorites and expecting to win. But it’s a hell of a lot better than the opposite.

Yep. I was telling someone the other day that it was much easier to watch the Lions when there were no expectations.

              I like this better, though.

With Zeitler out with a hammy, I hope Mahogany plays as well tonight as he did in his other start this year. Other than that it looks as if the Lions are going in with everyone who is available ready to go.

                BTW,

Thanks to the op, I fear I may never rid myself of the mental image of Keith Jackson fornicating behind a barn.

                    Regardless, seven hours and counting.

Sunday in Australia. I was afraid I was gonna have to have a sick day to watch the game. I've been waiting for this all week, and getting shitty with every 'upset alert' posted either online or on the TV. Only three hours to go... already been to the bakery to get some cake. I love cake. I love the Lions. go Lions!!

I have so much trust in Man Campbell, the coaching staff, and, most importantly, the players that I’m absolutely calm right now.

Is kick-off at 8 exactly? These games will overlap. Sorry to have to ask. Being in Australia, I don't get clear information sometimes.

They won't let the games overlap. They'll delay the Lion Game.
