As a speculator I love taking an opposite position when the prevailing sentiment is one sided. I have watched a lot of videos where the expert talking heads favor the Vikings due to the depleted Lions D. My head tells me they may be right but my gut tells me they are not. I believe Glenn will have his guys ready and will throw in enough wrinkles to slow down the Vikings just enough.

Some good news for the defense. The official list isn’t out yet but Alex seems to be good to go which is big for the defense even if he’s on a limited snap count tonight.Last edited by Lionsfan123; January 5, 2025, 01:40 PM.

This is a huge game....really I dont see the loser of this game having much of a chance in the playoffs as the 5 seed....Sure it has been done in the past a few times but in general you want the top seed and only have to win two home games (rather than 3 on the road barring upsets) to be in the super bowl.

Honestly with the way the Lions are built they have a better chance than most. The Lions are more better on the road than at home and are built in a way to where they can play you anywhere. These are the type of teams Sean Payton used to build with the Saints.
The Lions can make it easy on themselves by simply winning tonight but them playing on the road as the 5th seed wouldn’t be a total backbreaker. They are the definition of road warriors.

Going on a long run should be expected. Id take a better team over home field any day.AAL - Glover Quinn

Some perspective:
Had a Falcons fan over and we watched the Falcon lose their shot at the playoffs.
I could appreciate his pain. How many times did we watch the Lions fall just short?
This year, the Lions are in regardless. Home field and the bye would be ideal, but the Lions can win it all from the wildcard.
No pressure tonight. You soggy bread sandwiches can relax.
It's all good.
