  • I don't know if MLS requires a grass field or if they are allowed to play on turf (turns out quite a few teams play on turf) but quite a few years ago when the world cup (which I do believe requires playing on a grass field) came to the Silverdoom and they tried to put grass in the domed stadium, the temperature got to be around 90 degrees with 40% humidity (according to a Google search).

I know this really doesn't have anything to do with the conversation regarding having a retractable roof, etc but I thought it was an interesting tidbit considering the efforts of some players wanting to go to grass fields citing safety concerns and how that would work in a domed stadium.

Main, I believe I read that as well about the increased budget.
All emotions can be traced back to two basic ones........love and fear.

          • Article in Freep says Lions 2024 draft class ranked 28th out of 32 teams (in first year impact)....They did take alot of projects and Rakestraw hardly played so there wasnt much to judge by really.

            • Rakestraw and Manu were effectively zeros. Vaki barely had any snaps outside of ST. And Mahogany and Wingo missed large chunks of time due to injury. So yeah, not surprising this class didn’t fair well overall in a metric that is driven in large part by snaps played. But this class was never going to deliver a lot of snaps in the first year given the Lions depth.

No. Our Yoop passed a few years ago. His name was Walt.

Like Froot said, Yooperman seems to be a pretty common and intuitive nickname. Ha!
