I just kind of think it is the basis of the schedule. The road schedule was weaker than the home schedule.
Sometimes the home field advantage was there and it induced pre-snap penalties. It wasn't there for others. Two of the home losses came later in the year against really good offensive teams against a depleted defense. All the crowd noise and elements do not help much when you are needing to raid the practice squads all over the league. It definitely helped on Thanksgiving thoughComment

Does anyone think Eberflus would be a good DC? I thought his defenses in Indy were pretty good. Not sure if the Lions are a good fit personnel-wise.Comment

Eberflus is a Cover 2 disciple which is a zone heavy scheme. So it would not be a stylistic fit with what they built.Comment
