I don't care how good your offense is. Your defense needs to get a couple of stops if you're going to win playoff games against playoff caliber opponents.

If your margin of error on offense is fucking zero, you're cooked.

That’s why many teams with historically good offenses and really bad defenses don’t make the Superbowl. Yeah there have been teams like the 2006 Colts, 2008 Giants, and 2009 Saints which the Lions this year are eerily close too that have made the Superbowl, but even those Saints still had an ok defense that was able to get turnovers and make key stops when they needed too and so far this Lions defense can’t stop anyone.
