What point in the game is this referring to? What was the score?

    • He just knew they wouldn't get 14pts in 2mins. This isn't that deep. Definitely not anything worth discussing in a presser, LOL

      • Saw this snippet in a newsletter my local hospital sent us. I now think it was meant for some of you game thread posters. 😆

          Haha!

Sometimes I wonder what game some of these guys are watching.

Good Lord. It was a SOL game day thread. Seemed people were just looking for a reason to bitch.

          Every player sucked.

          Fire Aaron Glenn!

What the fuck is Campbell doing?

You'd think this team was 2-14 not 14-2

What a bunch of fucking Eeyores

          • You can tell it’s not SOL any longer because Campbell is breaking all these embarrassing streaks in Lions history. Winning in Lambeau with regularity, beating a 49ers team they last beat at their place when I wasn’t even old enough to count, winning 12+ games two years in a row, etc etc.

It's nauseating how people can't handle sports. What are they like in real life, FFS? Moronic.

              • Not trying to shame anyone, it's hard letting go of the SOL mindset. But this is the best season ever. Enjoy it and just breathe when it goes sideways!

                • I mean... I react to what I'm seeing at the time. For about 50 minutes of that game, the defense was atrocious. Not simply bad. It was horrifically awful. I think the 49ers had something like three third down attempts the entire first half. That's... unacceptably bad, no matter how many people are on IR.

If things suck, I'm going to say so. If they're good, I'm going to say so (and did). Call that "Eeyore" or whatever, I call it, "calling a spade a spade." The defense is going to have to be better than that if they want to get back to the Conference Championship, and the Super Bowl.

None of those things take away from what has been arguably the best regular season showing in Lions history (I'm open to the elders among us heralding the glory days of the 50s as better). It's merely what happened in the game at hand.

                  • If they can figure out a way to win Sunday, the defense will be a lot better in the playoffs . They desperately need that bye for health reasons and pure schematic issues. Some of these guys are coming back should help a lot but at the moment they are rusty or in different roles. A lot of the issues they had on Monday were due to the rotating WIL position and Shanahan's ability to attack it.

This game was likely to be a shootout even if they were healthy on defense. They all have been with the Vikes.

                    • Agree Loops. Looking for a hell of a game. This one scares the crap out of me...........who am I fooling. They all scare the crap out of me. These are the type of games we've been longing for. Important games. Games that matter. We're here. Last game of the regular season in Prime Time and we're one of the feature teams. It doesn't get any better than this.

                      GO LIONS!!!
                      GO LIONS "24" !!

                              • Why is this surprising to anybody. Did you remember the Bills game. The defense didn't exist in that one either.

I think it's just a matter of people need to vent so they use this message board as an outlet insted of kicking the dog or destroying their TV.

...and don't expect things to change much vs. the Vikes. The offense will need to score 40 again to win. Mark it down.

Luckily, its a home game and maybe that could shake up Darnold a bit with noise on key 3rd downs ( if there are any )
